CALL FOR APPLICATION FOR PROSPECTIVE Ph.D. STUDENTS – XXXV EDITION

POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
* 3 or 4 positions with full-time stipend granted by the Italian Ministry of Education (MIUR)
* 1 position with full-time stipend granted by the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT)
* 1 position with full-time stipend granted by University of Udine
* 1 position with no stipend

Candidates, of all gender, age and nationality, must hold (or acquire within 31st of October 2019), an Italian “diploma di laurea/laurea specialistica/laurea magistrale”, or an equivalent second-level degree (generally equivalent to a Master’s Degree).
We seek highly-motivated applicants with a strong interest in cognitive social and affective neuroscience functions. We welcome expertise in disciplines related to the CoSAN PhD curriculum including but not limited to Psychology, Biology, Neuroscience, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science.
Prospective Ph.D. students with experience in graphics and virtual environment programming or with electronic engineering related skills are encouraged to apply.

Candidates who wish to apply for the CoSAN Ph.D. curriculum must:

1) Register or log in (if you already have a Sapienza “matricula” number) at the University Information System (Infostud) at the following link: http://www.uniroma1.it/didattica/sportelli/infostud . During the registration, you will receive the “matricola” number;
2) Fill in the online application form;
3) Pay the application fee (non refundable) of € 35,00 strictly by 08:30 p.m. of July 18th, 2019.
4) Once the above procedure has been completed, candidates must submit the application EXCLUSIVELY VIA WEB at https://phd.uniroma1.it/application completing the online registration and uploading the following documents:

• Curriculum Vitae in English where your Skype contact is specified;
• At least one letter of recommendations supporting the candidate. Letter(s) must be written in English and uploaded directly from the supervisor(s) or supporting researchers. During the registration, the candidate has to specify the correct email address of his/her supervisor signing the letter. The system will send an automatic e-mail to supervisors/ supporting researchers and the instructions to follow for uploading the letter;
• Letter of Motivation in English (a brief statement);
• Research proposal in English (max 5 pages). Please, consider that the aim of the Research Project is only to evaluate applicant’s research design skills, but it would not necessarily be PhD research topic;
• List of publications (if any) and research activity;
• Any additional qualification and information the candidate would like to be taken into account (if any).
